Spence - Everything You Never Wanted (by TheSpenceTube)

At one time all musicians were a part of the local music scene in their neighborhoods.

Truffula Tree

This is a local band that I shared a link to in Tyler, TX; you may have noticed all of the bands they have shared the stage with, one of my favorites was the Toadies; who I finally got to see live for the first time recently, they opened for the Toadies on tour at ClicksLive in Tyler, TX. It was a good time and a great show, thanks again to my little sister for providing that experience for me.

The Rules?

Let me make sure we understand the rules of promoting local talent?

1) Only promote local music talent which lives in your specific geographic area.

2) You must work for a corporate radio station (which streams free music and pays for it with paid advertising) in order to promote local music.

3) Only promote bands you have a working or personal relationship with in the local music scene.

4) Other bands and fans of local bands should send you information and provide new local music for you to use to increase your own popularity.

5) Once you do an interview with a local band they become your personal property and only you have exclusive rights to promote the local music.

6) No one else is allowed to have knowledge of local music unless they acknowledge they heard it from you first.

7) Local music exists to boost your personal popularity by promoting people that actually have creative talent; because you work at a corporate radio station, you have the right to exploit new found talent.

8) Internet Dj’s aren’t real Dj’s because they didn’t spend thousands of taxpayer dollars to get a fancy degree that says they know how to talk in front of people; and they stream free music with advertising content in it (Pandora, Sirus, YouTube, broadcast radio, tv, etc.)…

*this list does not reflect the views or opinions of greyeyesgabriel international or any division, partner, others involved in the development of the greyeyesgabriel brand. It is meant purely as sarcastic humor; any representations to actual human beings or places is completely coincidental, although if you know someone like this; tell them to get their head out of their ass…

…ah, screw it…

   …you get the picture…

      …we don’t follow the rules of convention here; this is no longer the Me generation; welcome to the We generation…

   …where are you reading this? Is the music being played in your neighborhood local to you? Do you provide a place for, are a fan of, or in a local music scene?

…then you found the right place; as long as the web exists, we plan to offer this FREE service to promote YOUR local music industry. An online ad which is easily shared by permalink; with social sharing tools, comments to monitor feedback, and submission to an internationally syndicate feed (RSS), and an easy to use branded search geared specifically for keywords (tags) to easily find what you are wanting to share…

                                          …every FREE submission goes into our feed and is automatically posted to our local music social sharing network and can be viewed on facebook, twitter, myspace, blogger, and anywhere else you find the local music logo…

                   We tag every post for content to provide relevant search results and provide a permalink based on the title you choose. We are still developing our website and new content will continue to become available as it is developed; this is known as alpha phase, but our basic model is working beautifully and we have pulled the attention of some local celebrities as well as the personal connections that Dj greyeyesgabriel has in the local music industry around the world. With over 8 years of experience promoting local talent on the internet, especially through myspace connections, greyeyesgabriel has witnessed the rise and fall of many musicians in several genres of music, some are still rising…

…now back to the mission, which is sharing the music…

Dj greyeyesgabriel: Thank You!

djgreyeyesgabriel: To all fans of local music;

To all fans of Dj greyeyesgabriel;

Good Day and Great Blessings! I just wanted to take a minute to send a special praise out to my global audience, it is the appreciation and love that you bestow upon me that makes little hobby of mine worth it! Music is universal and a wonderful form of…

Rockett Queen

Walter Lee - Vocals/Guitar
Jay Scars - Lead Guitar
Chaz Graves - Bass
Seven - Drums

Taking on the world one crowd at a time to make rock music important again…This is Rockett Queen.

Storming out of East Texas, Rockett Queen burst onto the scene in 2003 and has since been a force with which to be reckoned. Fronted by charismatic, explosive lead vocalist/guitarist Walter Lee, and driven by the untamed Jay Scars on lead guitar and Chaz Graves on bass. As well as the compelling SeVen on drums, they have cultivated immense recognition and rave reviews of their full length debut “Too Rock For Radio.”

Not every band can boast the title “Best unsigned band in America”… Rockett Queen can. Rockett Queen quickly earned the title “Best Unsigned Band in America” by winning the contest that ultimately resulted in their hit single “The Next Big Thing” to be featured in the full length film “John Tucker Must Die.” This earned them a spot on the soundtrack along with The All American Rejects, Cartel, Ok Go and many more. With that notoriety, it wasn’t long before MTV beckoned and featured “The Next Big Thing” in their hit TV show “Newport Harbor”. Following the success of “The Next Big Thing,” Rockett Queen quickly raced back into the studio to record their sophomore EP “Kiss and Tell,” which has already been declared “the best thing Rockett Queen has released to date.” The track “Since You Been Gone” gained notoriety and received heavy airplay on Top 40 radio station The Breeze, where it continues to thrive.

While cultivating a devoted following in the U.S., Rockett Queen also released “Too Rock For Radio” in Japan on Little Rock Records. “Inrock,” one of Japan’s largest music magazines, featured a 2-page spread on Rockett Queen alongside Avril Lavigne, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, HIM, and the Foo Fighters.

Since the release of “Too Rock For Radio,” Rockett Queen has persevered playing a multitude of shows for over 25,000 fervent fans with artists including Hinder, The All American Rejects, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Story Of The Year, Bowling For Soup, Coheed and Cambria, Thrice, Bad Religion, The Sounds, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, and Thursday, in addition to multiple stops on the Vans Warped Tour.

Poised to ascend to new heights, Rockett Queen has recorded and is unleashing their new EP “Goodnight California” featuring the hard-driving anthem and their first single “I Hate You” July 1, 2011. Rockett Queen is devoting the summer of 2011 to racking up miles on the blacktop as they continue to tour and be up close and personal with each of their Rockett Queen Legion fans.

Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes!

  You may have noticed some changes happening around here; and believe me, they will be for the better. The local music feed will still be free, I don’t expect that to ever change. I will be offering a paid spotlight promotion, but that is still being developed. I will let you know more about the paid feature and merchandise later, as it develops. The main focus right now is removing clutter from this website, changing some of the design, adding social sharing functions, and decreasing load times. I am going to keep this short and sweet; because I want to get back to the original reason for this website, which is promoting your music. Thank you for your patience and support, I look forward to bringing you the best service available.
